Granny’s Gruesome Cures… Poultices, Pustules & Poppycock!

Activities will take place weekdays, 12pm to 3pm, between 25 July and 13 August.

Join us at the Workhouse Museum for hands-on fun finding out about Victorian cures. Explore herbal remedies, make poultices and lozenges, bake herbal biscuits and find out about the babies and children who lived in the Workhouse.

 

Waste Not, Want Not! 

Activities will take place weekdays, 12pm to 3pm, between 15 August and 2 September.

Are you better at recycling than the Victorians?

Join us at the Workhouse Museum for hands-on fun finding out how to waste not, want not! Join in with rag-rugging workshops, baking with leftovers and lessons in our Victorian classroom. There will also be a museum trail.

 

Family activities are included with usual museum admission prices and tickets are valid for 12 months with unlimited return visits. Make the most of our extended opening times this summer, the Workhouse Museum & Garden is open from 10am and the Prison & Police Museum is open from 11am from Saturday 23 July.
