A Seedy Shoplifting

Saturday, 30th August, 11:30am and 1:30pm

After the success of Peelers, Poachers and Paupers at Ripon Theatre Festival, Ripon Museums Theatre Group is back with something new — A Seedy Shoplifting. This short 10 minute vignette, written by York University student playwright Frederick Upton, will be performed inside the Ripon Prison & Police Museum at 11:30am and 1:30pm on Saturday, 30th August.

You’ll meet Mrs Seed, a respectable woman, or so it seems. But while on holiday in Scarborough, she’s been caught shoplifting. As a police officer questions her, you might start to wonder; is there more to her story than meets the eye? There are no tickets for the performances so if you’re visiting Ripon Prison & Police Museum with a regular admission, you can step inside and see it. Come along, be curious and uncover the secrets behind A Seedy Shoplifting.
