On July 21st an exciting new experience will be launching at the Workhouse Museum!
The final stages of refurbishment are underway as we prepare to take visitors on a brand-new journey and ask Would You Survive the Victorian Workhouse?
Join us from July 21st and Step into the shoes of Victorian paupers, vagrants and workhouse children this summer as the newly transformed Ripon Workhouse Museum opens following a £3.3 million redevelopment.
There will be new hands-on activities, interactive displays and powerful storytelling, so you can discover what life was really like inside one of Britain’s most complete surviving Victorian workhouses.

During this time The Police & Prison Museum and The Courthouse Museum are both open and will not be affected by the refurbishment work.
