Workhouse Museum in Ripon

Opening hours

Ripon Museums are now open seven days a week, full details of our regular opening hours are below.

  • The Workhouse Museum & Garden is open seven days a week, 11am – 4pm. During school holidays, the Workhouse Museum opens from 10am.
  • The Prison & Police Museum is open seven days a week, 1pm – 4pm. During the school holidays, the Prison & Police Museum opens from 11am.
  • The Courthouse Museum is open seven days a week, 1pm – 4pm. Please note there are no toilet facilities at the Courthouse Museum.

Ticket Prices

Visit all three museums with our special combined ticket which gives entry to the Workhouse Museum & Garden; Prison & Police Museum and the Courthouse Museum:

  • Child £10 (age 6-15 years)
  • Concession (over 60; students; Armed Forces Discount; Disabled; Unemployed. Proof may be required) £17
  • Family & Friends £36 (Includes up to 2 adults and 3 children 6-15yrs)
  • Small Family £26 (one adult and one child 6-15yrs)

Facilities

You can enjoy a cup of Rijo coffee in the Workhouse Museum and can bring along a picnic to enjoy in our grounds. Gift shops are available in the museums and we ask that visitors use contactless payments wherever possible. Toilets are available in the Workhouse Museum and Prison & Police Museum, including accessible toilets. There are baby changing facilities at the Workhouse Museum.

COVID-19 measures

 

The health and wellbeing of our visitors is important to us. We ask that all our visitors be respectful of others and remain cautious to the threat of Covid-19.

We will continue to provide hand-sanitiser stations throughout our three museums and recommend that visitors wear face coverings in crowded indoor spaces, although this is not mandatory.
