Bulb planting
To celebrate our heritage gardens. we’re giving children the chance to plant up and take home heritage hyacinth bulbs. These aren’t any hyacinth bulbs …. they are specially scented, cream, City of Haarlem hyacinth bulbs, that were bred over 150 years ago! They would make a perfect Christmas present if you want to give a growing gift!
This activity is included in the museum entrance fee (or drop in and pay £3 to plant your pot of bulbs).
On Saturday the 1st November in Ripon Workhouse Museum front garden (or indoors if rainy).
Activity is drop-in and subject to availablity, running between 11am and 3pm and will be included in the museum entrance fee.
The event is suitable for children with parental supervision.
