Drop-in Workshop – Make a Scarecrow

9th April

Join us at Ripon Museums this Easter for a fun-filled experience! Discover a variety of activities, learn something new and celebrate the season with us!

The first signs of spring are here, and we can’t wait to see our beautiful Victorian garden bloom into life. In Victorian times they would use young children to run around and scare away any birds trying to eat the garden crops, but today, we think we’ll make some scarecrows instead!

Help us protect our gardens by coming along to this family workshop and making your own small scarecrow to keep the birds away. This craft activity will be held 9th April with the morning session running 10:30am-12:30pm and the afternoon session running 1pm-3:00pm. This is a free, drop-in activity so there is no need to book – just come along and get making!

This is one of the many fun and creative activities included in the price of your annual pass across our three museums. Make sure you check our ‘Things To Do’ to see what we have coming up.

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult. We suggest that this activity is suitable for children 4+ but please be aware that younger children will need help with tasks such as cutting out.

This Activity is at the Workhouse Museum.
