Join Medical Herbalist, Bel Charlesworth to find out how common garden herbs, like peppermint, sage and calendula, can be used to treat everyday ailments.
Bel will lead you on a herb walk around the museum garden and then demonstrate how to make your own herbal infusions and balms. You will also have the opportunity to blend your own Relaxation tea to take home.
In the afternoon, learn more about creating medicinal herb gardens with Bel and Museum Gardener, Catherine Baxter. And have chance to plant up a herb bed for the museum garden with medicinal herbs commonly used by Victorian apothecaries.
