Travel back to the 1800s with the Workhouse Theatre group on the 6th July, as they breathe life into the vibrant characters of Ripon’s past – from the poorest to the most powerful.
When all eyes were on the Courthouse for public entertainment and the talk of the town was the trial of the notorious poachers the Sinkler Brothers. Hear the adventures of the local brothers 30 years on from their earlier poaching crimes.
Join us outside the Courthouse and on the Cathedral Minster Gardens between 11am to 12pm and 1:15pm to 2pm.
Read about the Sinkler brothers and the performance of John Sinkler at the Ripon Courthouse as part of Ripon Theatre Festival
