This stunning cathedral is in the centre of Ripon and was founded by St. Wilfrid in 672AD. Entry is free.
Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden
Run by the National Trust, this World Heritage Site is located a short distance outside Ripon. Visitors can explore the ruins of Fountains Abbey, which was founded in 1132, and wander the Studley Royal water gardens and deer park.
Newby Hall and Gardens
This elegant Georgian House is surrounded by beautiful gardens, along with an adventure playground and sculpture park.
Lightwater Valley
This theme park is aimed at families, with rides and attractions for the under 12s.
Markenfield Hall
This historic house, complete with moat and Medieval courtyard, can be found three miles south of Ripon, tucked away among beautiful countryside.
