Get Creative – Wooden Spoon Dolls

Every day this May half-term

Looking for something to keep your little ones entertained this half-term?  Pop into the Workhouse and get creative with us as we make our own wooden spoon Victorians.

Making dolls out of household objects was popular amongst children who couldn’t afford toys in Victorian times.  We’re keeping the tradition alive and giving children today a glimpse into what life was like in the past!

This activity is on every day at the Workhouse Museum this half-term.  This is one of the many fun and creative activities included in the price of your annual pass across our three museums.  Make sure you check our ‘Things To Do’ to see what we have coming up.

Please note that all children must be accompanied by an adult.  We suggest that this activity is suitable for children 3+
