Get To Work! family trail at the Workhouse Museum & Garden
Available every day – 10am until 4pm
There is no time for slackers at the Workhouse Museum & Garden!
It’s time to roll up your sleeves and get stuck in as you take part in our Get To Work! family trail, where you’ll have a go at six different work tasks done by Victorian inmates.
You’ll soon see how easy you’ve got it once you’ve had a go at our tough Workhouse jobs like sweeping the work yard, inspecting hands in the Tramp Major’s Room, scaring the birds in the garden and helping out in the mortuary.
Once you’ve completed all six tasks we’ll see if you’ve worked hard enough to earn your freedom, or if you’ll be stuck in the Workhouse!
Get a real insight into Victorian life as you and your family take a hands-on approach to history.
The Get To Work! trail is available every day between 10am -4pm at the Workhouse Museum and is included in the price of your ticket.
