Imagine living in this workhouse. It would be cold, damp and cramped, with up to a hundred other people living alongside you. But you wouldn’t have just been sharing with other people… there was sure to be a few other creatures hiding around the Workhouse. Make your own Workhouse rat to experience what life was truly like in this grim and gloomy place.
Drop-in everyday this half-term to have a go at this fun craft activity between 10am- 4pm. This activity is one of the many free things to do in the museums this Halloween as it is included in the price of your annual family pass. It is suitable for children ages 4+ but please note a parent or guardian will need to help younger children with cutting out.
Please note that this is not a drop-off activity, and all children must be accompanied by an adult.
