You don’t have to have specialist knowledge to volunteer; all you will need is an enthusiasm for the museums and their collections and a willingness to get stuck in! It really is a lot of fun.
Work placements and short-term opportunities are available as well as more long-term roles.
We need:
Reception and tour guides
Practical skills e.g. decorating, sewing, repairs
Help with events and exhibitions
Gardening
Research
Help with schools and family visitors
Fundraising
