Volunteer Support Officer

The Ripon Museum Trust is seeking an organised, enthusiastic and engaging person to support our diverse group of volunteers with a variety of needs, and to work with colleagues to make this the best volunteering experience possible.

This post is funded by the COINS Foundation which has worked in partnership with the Trust since July 2018. Their primary aim is to utilise the profits of business to help disadvantaged people throughout the world achieve a better quality of life.

RMT together with the COINS Foundation want to further develop all our processes for all our volunteers, enabling them to quickly become part of our organisation, develop their skills and experience and grow in confidence.

Volunteering is integral to our organisation; at our core we work as one team. We believe that volunteering in our museums enriches lives and improves wellbeing.

Post: Volunteer Support Officer

Location: Ripon Museum Trust – main office the Workhouse Museum, Allhallowgate and working at other locations in Ripon and locally.

Salary: £18489 full time per annum – pro rata

Post Length: One year from appointment – a funding review to extend will be held mid 2023

Hours of work: 17 hours (0.46 full time)

Responsible to: Volunteer and Operations Manager

Safeguarding: This position is subject to an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
