Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be poor in Victorian England?
Join us on a taster tour and our knowledgeable guide will take you on a tour of Vagrants Block within the Workhouse Museum telling the story of the building as well as what went on inside.
Tours will take place on the first Sunday of each month (apart from June) at 1130am. Tours are free with museum entry.
Our next tours will take place on Sunday 6 August, Sunday 10 September, Sunday 1 October & Sunday 12 November.
We can also offer pre-bookable group tours which can include a rag-rugging session at the Workhouse Museum, object handling at the Prison & Police Museum or Workhouse Museums, or you can take part in a mock trial with scripts and costumes at the Courthouse Museum. Refreshments can also be provided. For more information about these tours click here.
